Maximus is a two-year-old and sixty-pound German Shepard. Maximus was found dragging a chain, emaciated. This gorgeous shepherd has filled out and is healthy and very loving but needs to be your only dog. Maximus has lots of energy, loves to play and would be an ideal sports buddy as your only dog. A strong dog experienced person who can work on leash training and give him the exercise he needs; no dog parks for this boy. Maximus needs activity, and structure, so if you are a mature and experienced dog owner with no other dogs or cats please apply to foster or trial adopt. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
