My story

Bessie is a three-year-old, sixty-five-pound, Labrador Retriever. Bessie is so good and mild mannered she is used to dog test other dogs in the shelter. Amazingly, no one has stepped up to adopt Bessie. This gorgeous goofy lab is super friendly and happy, loves to play, a great family dog. She’s hefty, on the shorter side, loves people, would enjoy a family or someone who works at home to give her lots of love and attention which she reciprocates ten-fold! Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications only, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
