Hi there, I`m Luvs and I am 4 months old. I am a gorgeous tortoiseshell girl who ended up at PCAPS with my siblings when I was very tiny. My siblings and I were quickly transferred to TAPS and went to live with a nice foster family until we were grown up enough for homes of our very own! My foster mom has this to say about me: `Luvs is a super chill kitten with silky smooth fur who loves to just hang out and relax. Most of the time you’ll find her sprawled out in a sunny spot just enjoying the warmth. She’s pretty quiet and laid-back, but every now and then she gets a playful streak and will chase after a toy or pounce on a shadow. Despite those playful moments, she’s super sweet and loves to cuddle up in your lap, purring away and making you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.` If I sound like the girl for you, please fill out an online application so we can meet and get to know each other soon!!

TAPS-Tazewell Animal Protective Society was founded in 1958 in Pekin Illinois in a building donated by the City of Pekin on River Road. In 1979, rapidly rising river water forced the evacuation of the animals. Once again, the City of Pekin stepped in and donated a building for the animals. Several moves later, and with the help and generosity of many volunteers and community members, TAPS now has a new home at 100 TAPS Lane. Last year we celebrated 50 year of caring for the homeless animals of Central Illinois.
