My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am the bestest, sweetest boy there has ever been! I was found as a stray in Woodville, TX with a broken leg and some other open wounds. Instead of being put down I was rescued from the shelter and rehabilitated- now I`m ready for my forever home! I`m crate trained, somewhat potty trained, love kisses (giving and getting), like playing with my tennis ball, getting belly rubs, and going on walks. At just a year old I`m still a puppy but not wild like some of my other friends here at the adoption center. I was fostered with 6 other dogs who I got along with so I think I`d like a furry friend if you already have one. Visit me and bring me some treats, please!

Meet and fall in love with your future four-legged family member at one of our adoption centers or offsite events. The adoption process takes at least 90 minutes.

Our adoption fees are as follows:
Adult Dogs $150 (1+ years old & over 30 lbs)
Adult Dogs $225 (1+ years old & under 30 lbs)
Puppies $275 (under 1 year)
Adult Cats $85 (1 year and older)
Kittens $135 (under 1 year)

All of our animals receive:
Spaying or Neutering
Current Vaccinations and/or Rabies Vaccination Voucher
Microchip
Heartworm Screening for Dogs
Leukemia Test for Cats
30 days of Free Pet Health Insurance from 24PetWatch

We pull dogs and cats into our program from overcrowded shelters that are often forced to euthanize. In 2020, Texas Humane Heroes rescued 4,378 dogs and cats from 89 shelters across the state of Texas. We have Adoption Centers in Leander and Killeen, Texas.
