My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Mr. Knight was brought in by his previous owner on January 21, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Mr. Knight, a dashing and affectionate gentleman looking for a cozy home to settle into and enjoy the finer things in life-like a plush cat tree to lounge on! He's a pro at charming people with his signature head bunts, adorable butt lifts Mr. Knight will benefit from a quiet space to help him adjust to his new home, giving him time to decompress and feel like himself again. Mr. Knight is currently on a daily medication to help reduce stress, as he has a tendency to overgroom when feeling overwhelmed. He's also a bit particular about certain types of handling and restraint-he may not be a cat who enjoys being picked up or held, so a patient adopter who respects his boundaries will be key. Additionally, he's not a fan of vaccines, so future vet visits may need some extra TLC. If you're ready to pamper this sweet boy, respect his unique personality, and let him thrive, Mr. Knight is waiting to meet you!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
