Crunch is a beautiful three-year-old female Husky who was transferred to us from Athol Animal Control. She takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but she loves being patted and cuddled once she is comfortable. She is very gentle, affectionate and playful. She loves to go for hikes and is very good on a leash. She also enjoys playing with other dogs and might like having a canine companion. Since Crunch is a Husky, she will need an adopter willing to provide her with a lot of exercise. She is spayed, microchipped, and fully vetted so we are accepting applications now.

Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.

We review applications in the order received and do call vet references and contact landlord if you rent.

The Medfield Animal Shelter's mission is to rescue lost or abandoned animals and provide for their comfort and safety until they are reunited with their owners or placed in new homes. We are a no-kill shelter, which means no pet will ever be euthanized because it has run out of time to find a home.
