HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org or Carol at cgriglione@arl-iowa.org.

Sterling and Cubby are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair.
- Will be a wonderful friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like he does
- Was somewhat fearful when he arrived at the shelter, but he has been coming out of his shell and is a total sweetheart with the people he feels comfortable with
- Is very bonded to his buddy; they love to play together and take naps snuggled up next to each other
- Loves to be pet and seek out attention
- Wants to be with his humans, once he has settled into his new home
- LOVES to wind around and rub against your legs, so he will not be suited well to a home with someone with mobililty issues
- Is not a good fit for young, busy or active kids, so he is looking for a mature home that is calm and quiet
- Please plan on starting him and his buddy in one room of your home and giving him quite a bit of time (possibly weeks) to become comfortable with that area and with you before allowing him access to larger areas of the home; this process will help set him up for success by not overwhelming him
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
