Our gorgeous Perdita wants everyone to know it's time for her life to finally begin! This Shepherd/Lab mix is about 2 years old so still a puppy! She came to Haven Animal Rescue Nebraska after having a litter of puppies and being in a shelter that was too full. Her puppies are now older and being adopted out as well, and Ms Perditia is grateful to be out from under that tough mom schedule! It's her time now!
Perdita's foster family has learned that her most loved activity is being around her people. We're guessing at some point in her short life she was around people and loved as she is soaking up all the attention and is such a good girl. She also loves kids, toys and car rides! However, toddlers beware as her puppy excitement could get a little one inadventently knocked down. Perdita is a very intelligent dog and catches on to directions quickly. Although she is also a bit independent and sometimes does what she wants lol! So some training and exercises would be a perfect compliment to her personality.
Perdita is currently in a foster home with other dogs but she would do just fine as a solo pup especially as she LOVES her people's time and attention. She's good with other dogs as well but a more submissive dog would be best, as she's still in mommy mode and wants to lead the pack, especially with toys.

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!
