My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yo, Adrian!

Adrian, Balboa, and Adrian’s 4 kittens came to TCR from a home where they weren’t being cared for and were no longer wanted. One of our fosters found out about their situation and that’s when we stepped in!

Adrian was a very good mother to her 4 kittens, even letting them nurse wayyy beyond their time of needing to! This girl is ALL spunk and attitude! She is definitely the boss in the relationship with Balboa, even putting him in his place when she deems necessary. Adrian is a total sweetheart and absolutely loves attention and pets. She will politely follow you from room to room, plopping down anywhere she thinks is the best spot where she can see you. Adrian loves to play with toys, which is good because she has become a bit of a chonk while in our care. She will need a home who’s committed to helping her lose a few pounds! Adrian has a stout little body, almost a smushed round face, and big owl eyes. She always has a look of unenthusiasm! Adrian has a sassy side to her and will love bite whenever she gets a bit too excited and overstimulated. She does well with getting brushed, until she’s decided she’s had too much, where she’ll grumble to let you know she’s done with the pampering. For this reason, we feel she wouldn’t do best in a home with kids. Adrian is a dominant cat so she’d like to go to a home with her less dominant other half, Balboa, and a house with either no other cats, or a cat who is not dominant like she is. We think she could do ok in a home with a calmer dog who will give her and Balboa their space when wanted.

Adrian is approximately 3.5years old, spayed, microchipped, FIV/FELV tested negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated. If this little sassy butterball sounds like a match for you, apply for her today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
