My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Louis, a 9-month-old puppy who is in search of his forever home

Louis is a sweet and affectionate puppy who has so much love to give! He loves to shower everyone he meets with lots of kisses and will jump into your lap for snuggles and pets. Although he may be too excited to give everyone lots of love, so a home without young children would be best as he likes to jump on people when he's very excited.

Louis is a very sociable pup who LOVES to play with his dog friends. He especially loves to play with large male dogs, and goes crazy when he sees his favourite playmate and fellow AKR adoptable dog Huchu! Overall, Louis has a medium energy level, he gets SUPER excited when he's playing with other dogs but will take lots of naps after playing.

When it comes to training, Louis is potty trained outdoors, and is working on his leash manners and crate training. He tends to bark a bit when he wants to get out of his crate, or when he is excited while playing. He doesn't have a prey drive in the sense of wanting to hunt small animals, but is your average curious puppy and wants to investigate. He has no aggressive or destructive behaviours, but will need puppy chew toys. He has no resource guarding either.

Louis was found on the street and sent to a kill shelter with his mom and siblings. Two of his siblings, Purin and Pooh, have been adopted in Vancouver, BC.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
