Peanut
Neutered male
Heeler Mix
EST. DOB: 9/30/2023
47lbs
Meet Peanut, our gorgeous golden boy. After spending over a year in an outdoor kennel in Texas, Peanut recently arrived in Buffalo and is slowly taking in all that the indoor life has to offer. He has already claimed his spot on his foster mom’s couch, loves to be wrapped up in blankets, and loves to snuggle with his people and get his belly rubbed!
While Peanut is timid at first, he has the sweetest nature about him. He’s looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue to feel safe and learn to trust at his own pace. Peanut would do best in a quiet environment, and he gets along well with other dogs—especially a gentle, older companion who can help guide him as he adjusts. If things get overwhelming, Peanut is happy to retreat to his crate where he feels secure until he’s ready to come out.
Peanut is doing great with potty training. He will go on a pee pad if he is unable to make it outside. At night, he sleeps soundly in his crate until morning.
This loyal, gentle boy would make the perfect best friend for a family looking for a sweet, laid-back companion. Could you be the one to teach our golden boy what love is?
If you are interested in Peanut, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved.
