Rhino may have had a rough start in life, but his resilience and loving nature are nothing short of inspirational. Rescued from the streets, where he was emaciated and surviving in heartbreaking conditions, Rhino has undergone a remarkable transformation. His past may be behind him, but his future is looking bright and filled with love. With his charming underbite and big, soulful eyes, Rhino has a special way of melting hearts. This sweet boy thrives on attention and is happiest snuggled up beside someone. Whether it’s wagging his tail, showering you with kisses, or just being a goofy cuddle bug, Rhino is a constant reminder of the power of love and second chances. Rhino gets along with kids and other dogs, making him a great addition to a family. While he hasn’t been tested with cats yet, his gentle nature suggests he’ll approach any new situation with his signature sweetness. He is supposed to be about 3 years old.

PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. FIRST step is to fill out a pre adoption application (www.polkadogz.org). We check vet references, personal references and do home visits before adopting any pet. We also help match the right pet to the right home. All current pets in household must be spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention (very important)
Adoption fees help us support all the dogs in our rescue, some of which cost thousands in medical bills. Thank you for caring about the greater good!

More about this rescue

We strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. We rescue many dogs with heartworms, injuries nad those who have been victims of severe neglect and/or abuse. Maverick is a perfect example. He is paralyzed and we work daily with him to hopefully help him walk again.
