My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~

Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****
Temperament: Oso is a delightful 10-month-old Pom/Spitz mix with a heart full of sweetness! At around 19 lbs, he’s the perfect size for snuggles and adventures alike. Oso has spent his whole life as an only dog, which means he’s still learning the ropes when it comes to playing with other pups. Because of this, he would thrive best in a home where he can be the only furry friend, soaking up all the love and attention!

This energetic boy is very much still a puppy at heart! Oso needs plenty of stimulation and exercise to keep him happy and healthy. He loves to explore and will happily run off with your socks if you turn your back! His playful spirit is contagious, and he’s eager to learn good behaviors with the right guidance.

Oso is currently in a foster home, where he’s been making great strides thanks to consistent training. He’s a fantastic leash walker and would make an awesome hiking buddy for anyone looking for an adventure partner!

If you’re ready to give Oso the loving home he deserves and can commit to working with him on his training, apply today to adopt this gorgeous boy! He’s waiting for his forever family to show him just how wonderful life can be!   --

Where did he come from: Surrendered to our rescue because he got too big and was too much to handle.

 Adoption: ***** $700.00 ***** Weight: 19 lbs. DOB: 3/11/2024

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
