My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lilo, a happy and outgoing 2 year old, aussie x corgi mix, weighing in at just 22 lbs! This extra good boy gets along with other dogs of all ages and sizes and even cats and respectful children. He loves to play ball, snuggle, play with other dogs, and lounge around. This cute and snuggly boy is crate trained, good on a leash, and is learning to settle down and relax in the car. Lilo is SUPER smart and would love a family who can take him out on adventures, teach him new tricks, and show him all the fun things that life has to offer! Lilo is a generally quiet boy, who only makes funny little noises when he needs to go out to potty. He has nearly perfected his house training and is a pro at using the dog door.

Lilo is crate trained and does well on a leash. He would love another active dog in his adoptive home to play with and learn from! This active pup will be happiest as a member of an active family and will need regular exercise to keep his busy body and brain healthy and out of trouble.

Lilo is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. His adoption fee is just $200. To be considered, please apply online at caws.org

Please note that we work to select adoptive homes that best meet the needs of the animals in our care and not on a first come first serve basis- thanks! Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
