My story

Hi, I’m Merry, a fun-loving three-month-old hound, possibly boxer mix, with a playful and goofy personality that will keep you smiling. My six siblings and I were sadly dumped in front of Pet Savers, but thanks to some amazing people, we’ve been given a chance at a better life.

I’ve been fostered in a home since then and have been doing great! I’m learning potty training, and I do really well in my kennel, even sleeping peacefully through the night. I’m a little more energetic than some of my siblings, and I think my boxer side shines through with my silly, playful antics. I love to bounce around, play with toys, and bring a lot of fun wherever I go.

I’m heartworm negative, up-to-date on my vaccines, and my spaying will be included in the adoption fee. If you’re looking for a pup with a great sense of humor and a lot of love to give, I’m your girl! Apply today—I’d love to meet you!

Additional adoption info

Due to the current situation we are no longer allowing casual visits to the shelter. You will need to submit an application with the name of the dog or cat you are interested in adopting via email. Please visit our website www.petsaversshreveport.org to download an adoption application. Applications can be emailed back to us at petsavers@petsaversshreveport.org

Adoption fees for dogs range from $100-$250. All pets come fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested (for dogs).

The shelter is open seven days a week from 12pm to 4pm
Casual visits are no longer allowed. You will need to submit an application via email with the name of the dog or cat you are interested in adopting.

Every 3rd & 4th Saturday of the month from 11am to 3pm

Pet Savers is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 2005 and located in Northwest Louisiana. Our mission is to rescue, protect, and place abandoned or unwanted pets and provide funds for neutering, spaying, and other veterinary care.

Our precious rescues are cared for 7 days a week, 365 days a year by a special group of dedicated staff and volunteers.
