My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Baxter and I have a huge group of Aunties that pamper me. I am a Lab/Hound low rider pup that is looking for a forever loving home where I am part of the FAMILY indoors. I like to be held, lounge on the couch, lounge in blankets, wear sweaters and hang with polite and gentle dog pals. I will like a family with older kids as (not toddlers) as loud noises frighten me. My fan club will want periodic pictures and updates as I was another dumped pup when it was frigid cold and he is well loved.

Since we are a foster-based rescue, viewing our animals online to find one that you are interested is best. Once you have found an animal you would like to adopt, complete the application by visiting our website at: hhsanimals.org and clicking on the animals picture. We will review it and forward to the animal's foster and have them contact you to go over the next steps.
Our adoption fees are:

Dogs and puppies = $175 + tax
Cats and kittens = $105 + tax

Adoption fees for purebred animals and out-of-state adoptions will be different than those listed above.

These fees include all age appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter. We have discounted adoption fees for senior citizens and senior animals.

SInce the vast majority of our animals are kept in foster homes, it's best to contact us at: info@hhsanimals.org to inquire about meeting an animal. You can also visit some of our available pets at one of our weekly adoption events at either the Petsmart or Petco stores near Bandera Rd and 1604 in far NW San Antonio on Saturday's from 12:00-3:00.
