This helps Fulton County Animal Center with pet care costs.
Meet Violet!
Violet is a 35#, Retriever mix and approximately 2 years old.
She was found as a stray and not reclaimed.
Violet came in with so many burrs in her tail, down to the skin - that it had to be completely shaved down! Her hair will be back in no time, she just looks a bit funny for right now!
Violet is a very friendly, loving girl! She has lots of energy and love to play!
She was originally found with several other dogs, so we know she can get along with others. Kids should be fine. We have not yet tested her with cats here at FCAC, but can do so upon request.
*Violet has unfortunately tested Positive for both Heartworm & Lyme Disease. Neither is contagious to you or other pets, as they were both caused by being bitten by an infected mosquito and tick respectively. We have started on her on her medication for the treatment of both. Violet will be treated by FCAC's parterning Vet for Heartworm. She is available on a Medical Foster to Adopt Contract until her final Heartworm Injection is completed. We will provide her monthly preventatives until then, and any other medical care she will need. You will be responsible for bringing her back to FCAC, when it is time for her injections for treatment. Violet would do best recovering and going through her complete treatment in a home, not here at the shelter.
Spayed, current on vaccines and monthly prevention. Her adoption fee will be $100 when it is time to finalize her adoption.
If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog
Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet! If it's a match, you can take home on the same day. Any other dogs in the home must come in for a meet & greet!
Closed Sunday/Thursday 11-4 Saturday/Monday 11-5 Tuesday/Friday 11-6 Wednesday
