Pluto is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who found his way to West Suburban after his owner moved into assisted living and couldn`t bring him along. This sweet, well-behaved young man is a bit timid and nervous at first, but with a little patience, he quickly becomes your best buddy, always wanting to be by your side or snuggled up somewhere warm!

Pluto is a social dog who gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has no problem holding his own. He’s playful with dogs his size, but don’t be fooled—he’s not afraid to challenge the larger pups, either! However, Pluto’s prey drive is strong, so no cats for this little guy—he’ll give chase if given the chance, despite multiple warnings from the cat.

Pluto loves going on car rides and exploring new places. He’s a smart boy who’s crate trained and knows “in your kennel” perfectly. While he does need a little leash training, he’s quick to respond to verbal commands. He’s also a bit of a bed hog, often snuggling up so close that you’ll find yourself a little too warm, but hey, who doesn’t love a good cuddle buddy?
