GIRLEY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Girley Best Guess for Breed: Some type of white German Shepherd mix
Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of January 2025 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 40 lbs
Gets Along With: Girley does well with other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested if you have them.
Currently Living at: Shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here
Girley is Looking For: Her forever home! This young girl has all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager to burn it with long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures her humans can dream up. Shelter staff say she is good with dogs of all types and gives appropriate corrections - she would love the opportunity to make plenty of pup pals! Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed sound good too. And shepherds are smart - she's seeking training, mental enrichment, all that fun stuff.
But you know what? Shepherds can have a tendency to be velcro dogs and Girley wants nothing more than to know who her human is, to love and be loved. She has so much adoration, so much loyal companionship to offer. What do you say? Can you see her by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: Girley spent some time on the Dogs Playing For Life Canine Center campus in Florida. There, she received basic training and enrichment, and socialized with other dogs. The staff there say that she is a very social dog, she takes cues well and is often used as a greeter/helper in playgroup when other dogs are brought in!
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
