My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Ice was brought in by their previous owner.

Why Ice might be the one for you:
Is Ice a blue eyed blond? There is no doubt about the blue eyes. They are deep and mesmerizing. The blond may be more beige but close enough for us to say Ice is one beautiful blue eyed blond who will make an impressive addition to a household who wants a "wow" for a dog. Ice is not just about good looks, Ice is friendly and well trained guy who could adapt to most households with his mellow temperament. His foster family says he does well with kids, other dogs and even kittens. They say that he is the perfect balance between playful and couch potato. Ice is a big guy who will want space. He can be vocal about his wants and if he is not getting enough attention so needs some space so neighbors won't complain. In his new home surrounded by love and care, his barking should lessen. Full of love (and beauty) , Ice is eager to find a dog savvy family who can help him blossom. With a gentle touch and lots of socialization, he'll soon become a confident companion. Ready to open your heart and home to this blue eyed blond? If so, ask to meet the Ice. Bring a leash because you may not be able to take your eyes off this beauty and you may end up taking Ice home with you.

At SDHS:
Ice has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and is now ready for adoption!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
