Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Buddy's first owner (my Dad) is a disabled vet who couldn't manage his size, and I've been working with him with a trainer, but he needs more space than we can offer. He's a good dog but very true to his breed, and he needs someone who understands guardian dogs. He does have to be fed separately, or he WILL attack another dog. He makes friends very easily with anyone, but he needs to be introduced to anyone trying to come into the house, as he is very protective of his area. He is also VERY vocal, and barks at any idea of a sound. He also hates having his ears and feet touched, and has to have them trimmed under sedation. He is a PET and not a working dog, who is used to sleeping on a cushioned dog bed and needs constant attention. He LOVES kids, cats, chickens, and ducks but he doesn't realize how big he is so he tends to knock everyone over. He gets along well with other dogs as long as no food is involved, however he will get aggressive over guarding resources.
