My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Baile, and I'm a sweet 1 year and 4 month old girl, looking for a forever home where I can share my love and affection with a family who will cherish me. I'm a beautiful brown cat with the most striking orange undertones in my fur - it's a one-of-a-kind look that's sure to turn heads! As you might have guessed, I've had a bit of a rough start in life. I was found wandering the streets, and unfortunately, my previous owner didn't come looking for me. But that's all behind me now, and I'm ready to put my past aside and focus on finding a family who will give me the love and care I deserve. When you first meet me, I might seem a little shy, but don't let that fool you - once I get to know you, I'm a total sweetheart. I love people, and I adore being around them. I'm very friendly and outgoing, and I just can't get enough of attention and affection. One of my favorite things to do is rub up against you, nuzzling my head and body against yours, begging for pets and snuggles. It's my way of showing you how much I love and appreciate you, and I just know you'll fall head over heels for my charming personality. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, I might just be the perfect cat for you. I promise to bring joy and laughter into your life, and to always be by your side, purring contentedly as you pet me and give me treats. So, what do you say? Will you give me a chance to steal your heart and become your new best friend? I promise you won't regret it! For more information about me, please email info@frastx.org

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 by 4 volunteers who wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter. Our organization has grown to over 300 volunteers, and with this growth, we now support two municipal shelters -- Rowlett, TX and Garland, TX – and operate our own cat rescue program.

Our mission is to provide resources, programs and education to promote adoption and care of homeless pets in our community. FRAs’ vision is a world where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home. We are a 100% all volunteer run organization, and our ability to help homeless animals depends on donations from the community and grant funding.

Our organizational programs include operating the volunteer program for both shelters, providing funding for heartworm treatments and emergency medical care, accepting cats from the shelter and citizens into our foster-based cat rescue, supporting TNR/SNR efforts for community cats and most recently funding dog transport initiatives. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours socializing and marketing the animals for adoption, which increases the number of animals with a positive outcome. FRAs has helped countless pets avoid euthanasia, find their forever homes and live longer, healthier lives.
