My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cortado, a canine companion with a heart as warm as his namesake. His sweetness is palpable, enveloping everyone he meets in a comforting aura of kindness. His friendly nature is infectious, making him a favorite amongst both staff and volunteers. Cortado`s intelligence is clear in his quick understanding of commands and his problem-solving abilities. He enjoys learning new tricks and is always eager to show off his skills. Cortado is not just a pet, he`s a friend, a confidant, a source of joy and comfort. His sweet nature, friendliness, and intelligence make him the perfect addition to any family. His love is unconditional and he`s ready to share it with a family that will cherish him. Adopt Cortado, not just for the love he will bring into your life, but for the opportunity to show him the love he so deserves.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
