Shadow is a 4-month-old hound mix with a smart and patient personality that makes him an amazing puppy to bring into your family. He adores kids and has a naturally gentle nature, making him a wonderful companion for little ones. While he hasn’t had much playtime with other dogs, his sweet demeanor suggests he’ll do just fine with canine friends. Shadow is doing great in his kennel at night and is well on his way to being potty trained with consistency and patience. He’s eager to learn and will grow up to be a loyal and loving family member. If you’re looking for a furry companion to grow up with your family, Shadow is ready to bring joy and love into your home!

Shadow's adoption fee is $125.00 cash or check and includes first shots, worming, microchip, and sterilization. We have a dog park to check compatibility with possible sibling dogs. Please fill out an adoption application at HeberSpringsHumaneSociety and a volunteer will contact you in 2-3 business days. The application is not on the Adopt-a-Pet website.

We have an adoption contract and adoption fees. The fee for a dog is $100.00 and a cat is $60.00. The fee includes mandatory spay or neuter and vaccinations.
If calling about an animal you may have to leave a message. Your call will be answered as soon as possible.

Our shelter is located at 49 Shelter Lane in Heber Springs, Arkansas. We are open Monday through Saturday from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

More about this shelter

Our orginzation was founded by Doug Bakko. Funds were raised to build the original shelter on land donated. The shelter has since been expanded using donations and fund raisers. We are the only Shelter in Cleburne County. Our operating funds come from our Thrift Shop, donations, fund raisers and some assistance from the city of Heber Springs, surrounding towns in Cleburne County. We work very hard keeping animals happy and healthy. We do this because we love animals and want to give them a safe haven and every chance possible to go to a loving home.
