I'm Milo, and i'm a big baby because after all, i'm only a year old. I may be 65lbs of sweetness, but i promise I can fit in your lap. I love love love to be hugged in your arms
and told that i'm a good boy. I am very smart and already know the sit command. I look to you for direction as I want to make you happy and be your best friend. I'm friendly with other dogs and Im a great family dog. Im such a good boy so I don't know why my previous home didn't want me any more, but they lied to the shelter and said they found me on the road when really they just didn't have time for a puppy. But it's their loss because i'm going to make my new family sooo happy. 1.
Submit Application

Visit www.abandonedpetrescue.org to see adoptable cats and dogs. Fill out an application for the pet(s) you would like to meet and adopt.

2.
Meet the Pet

Once you have filled out an application, a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment to visit APR.

3.
Approve Application

APR does not do same day adoptions and takes multiple applications on each pet to best match pets and families. APR may do home checks.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If approved, you will sign a contract and pay the adoption fee. All pets are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

5.
Take the Pet Home

APR hopes you stay in touch by joining APR's Facebook Alumni Page. Adopters can reach out to APR at any time with questions or concerns.

Additional adoption info

You must be 21 years old to adopt and have never been convicted on animal cruelty or neglect.

Fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines and tests for common illnesses

Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.

APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
