Jerry is a loving cat who I’ve had since July 2023. I love him and he brings me immense joy, and he loves his sister (by adoption!) very much. Unfortunately, he has ongoing cystitis and is on prescription cat food and anxiety medicine. He has frequent flare ups or at least appears to have flare ups that would warrant a visit to the vet—even if it’s not a flare up per se. I am getting to a place financially where I’m not sure I can continue to care for him given the more than routine care he might need. He is the sweetest boy, and my heart breaks at thinking about making this choice. But I want him to have the best life possible because he’s an angel.
