Meet JJ! JJ came into our care from one of our transfer partners after I was living outside tied up to a dog house and my owners could no longer take care of me. Now I am looking for a fresh start! I am 1.5 years old, underweight only weighing around 6lbs, neutered, up to date on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. I am looking for a loving caring family who can take great care of me and love me throughout my life. I was shaved during my neuter from being matted, I will need to go to a groomer and be groomed on a regular basis. I am currently in a foster home, if you have it in your heart and home to add me to your family please call the shelter or fill out an adoption application!

Approved applicants will be asked to come to the shelter to meet the dog. (Cats/kittens are at other locations to visit)

Interested in a dog? Please fill out an application at our website, please list dogs name on application or if you don't see one, please list breed/gender you are looking for. (We can place you on a wish list) Once approved we will watch for a dog for you. When we get in animal that might be what you are looking for we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet the pet.

$60 Adoption fee for cats. $100 for kittens. $150 Adoption fee for dogs. $250 for puppies. All potential adopters must complete our Adoption Application.

** Most cats/kittens are located at PetSmart in Utica or PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills, unless noted **

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable cats are located at a PetSmart in Utica, PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills. You can visit them at the stores when they are open.

For Dogs we are asking people to fill out an application online to get approved. Applications can be found here: https://macsshelter.org/dog-application. We will schedule a meet and greet of the dog after application approval.

We do take our dogs to different pet stores in the Metro Detroit area on Saturday's. You can visit our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/macs1935) to see where our next dog adoption event will be located. These events start at 11 AM - 2:30 PM.
