Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Huck and his siblings were rescued on the day they were scheduled for euthanasia. They had never been socialized before, and as a result, they were extremely shut down and scared of human touch.
Huck, in particular, was the most reserved. While his sisters were at least curious about human interaction, Huck kept to himself. But since entering his foster home, Huck has made incredible progress—his transformation has been nothing short of remarkable!
He’s beginning to understand what it means to be a puppy. When he's comfortable, Huck absolutely loves affection and even enjoys curling up on his foster parents' laps for a nap. It’s clear that he’s learning to trust, and we're in awe of how far he’s come.
At around 6 months old and 35 lbs, Huck is still growing and will likely be a large dog when fully grown. While we’re not sure of his exact mix, we know he has some lab in him. Huck tends to warm up faster around other dogs, and with their guidance, he starts to come out of his shell. Because of his more reserved nature and early lack of socialization, we believe Huck would thrive in a home with another dog to help him feel more secure.
Huck is also incredibly smart! He’s picked up potty training quickly, and he loves his crate—he willingly goes in when asked.
We believe Huck will be the perfect companion for someone who can give him the time and patience to adjust to his new environment. In return, Huck will offer a love that is deeply loyal and rewarding.
