If Oreo could talk he would have a story of overcoming the odds to tell..
Oreo is a 2 year old, 20 lb schnauzer/dachshund mix. He was found as a stray after being attacked by pitbulls. He was taken to the shelter where he was bandaged up and then sat waiting for rescue for almost a week. When he came to CAMO and those bandages were removed, we realized he was in very critical condition. He was rushed to Blue Pearl where he went straight into surgery to repair large open wounds on his neck and hind end. He also had multiple bite marks all over his body and neck. Oreo has been the sweetest, most loving dog since first coming to CAMO and he has made \an amazing recovery. He enjoys the company of other dogs and love humans. His favorite place to be is on a bed in front of a warm fire. He is house trained and crate trained. He is a very smart and well mannered boy and is a fast favorite of all who meet him. Oreo would make a great addition to any loving home looking for a wonderful dog who's been given a second chance at life!
Adoption fee is: $500
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another.
