Meet Peppermint Patty: This GORGEOUS little girl was found skinny and cold alone on a playground and her bad luck turned into good luck when one of our wonderful foster families found her. After fruitlessly searching for her family, she was nursed back to health, growing leaps and bounds and is now ready to find her furever family.
Patty is about 3 months old, currently about 18 lbs and still growing, she *should* top at around 45 lbs, but that is an educated guess. Patty is active and playful, loves playing with some of her foster's other dogs, while evading correction from one of them who acts as the "fun police". As a puppy she is still working on house training - she is doing pretty well most of the time - she also likes to explore her world with her teeth. Learning what is appropriate to chew on (HER toys) and what is not (people, shoes etc) is ongoing, she redirects well, with typical puppy short attention span.
She is looking for a home with another playful dog for her to play with and to learn from. As she is mouthy and jumpy, older kids if any would be best. She is also still learning leash walking and general house rules, so patience, time and attention is also required. She can not yet "hold it" for a full work day, so SAHM/D or Work from home is desired.
***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet, as not all dogs come to all Meet and Greets***
