DONALD DUCK NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Donald Duck Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and basset hound mix
Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of January 2025 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 34 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested if you have them.
Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here!
Donald Duck is Looking For: His forever home! This stubby legged sweetie landed in the shelter through no fault of his own and he's eager to once again have his own humans for sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures they can dream up. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are also on his wish list - well below a name change. He was aghast when he saw the Disney character in a cartoon and turned to shelter staff in disbelief - 'THAT? I'm named after that?' He's asking for a more dignified name and his own identity.
Most of all, though, he wants to be safe and loved and under his own roof. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship. And to NOT quack at you. What do you say? Does he have a spot in your home and your heart?
What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
