My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marshall – The Sweet, Smart, and Spunky Pup! 🐾

Marshall is a full-of-life dog who’s ready to find his forever home! He may be completely deaf, but don’t let that fool you—he’s got an unstoppable spirit and is eager to learn and play just like any other dog!

Marshall gets along great with other dogs and loves to run and play, making him the perfect companion for a multi-pet household. He’s a fast learner and has already started picking up hand signals, showing off just how intelligent and motivated he is. His deafness doesn’t hold him back one bit—he’s already showing that he can communicate and thrive with a little extra training and patience.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
