My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roque is a onebyear old female weighing about 35 pounds. Roque is currently in a foster home learning all the things she needs to know for when she goes to her forever home. Roque is very sweet and seems to get along with both people and other dogs, however she is on the shy side when meeting new people. I guess you could say that Roque is an introvert. She is up to date on all vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and on preventive, spayed and micro chipped. All that Roque lacks is a forever home. Could that be yours? Call to set up a meet and greet with Roque. Transportation assistance is available.

Additional adoption info

Perspective adopters can find our dogs on Petfinder or social media or by just coming to the shelter. Upon choosing a dog to adopt, they will be interviewed and if the dog appears to fit their needs, the adoption will take place. If the dog is already altered, they can go home that day. If not yet altered, a vet appointment will be scheduled and the adopter can pick their dog up from the vet the day of the surgery.

More about this shelter

We are a regional shelter servicing two rural counties in Kentucky. Our shelter supports animal control and when space allows, owner surrenders. We utilize foster homes and rescues to house our dogs in addition to the kennels in our shelter. We make every effort to place our dogs in responsible loving homes.
