My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dolly is a tiny 7 year old, 8 lb. Shih Tzu. This precious little girl came from a severe neglect and cruelty situation. Dolly was so matted that circulation was restricted in her feet. As a result, Dolly lost one back paw and part of a front one. She gets around well, often with her tail wagging, She is a sweet and happy little girl. She can't go for long walks, so needs a fenced area. She is puppy pad trained. Dolly loves to cuddle and snuggle, and is good with gentle children and other gentle small dogs. Dolly could be an only dog as long as she wasn’t left alone for more than an hour or so, but she'd be best with another gentle small dog. She adores her snuggle fluffy bed. Dolly is a special dog that needs a special home. She is in the northeast area of the USA.

More about this rescue

Shih Tzu and Furbaby Rescue, Inc. is a national rescue organization that is dedicated to the rescuing and rehoming of toy purebred and mixed breed dogs. We accept dogs in need from shelters, other rescuers, and individuals giving up their pets for a variety of reasons. Our furbabies are examined and treated by our veterinarians, innoculated, and spayed or neutered before placement. They are also thoroughly temperament assessed. We believe that, somewhere, there is a home for every dog, but that we have a responsibility to place our dogs into homes that will best meet their needs, both physically and emotionally. We look for people with patience and loving hearts, and an understanding of the furbaby mind.
Shih Tzus and Furbabies, Inc is a non-profit organization recognized under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Your donation may be tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
