Kahluah is a 10-month-old male lab mix with a heart full of love to give. Abandoned at a vet's office in South Florida, he grew up surrounded by caring staff and animals but missed out on the joys of a true home. Despite his tough start, Kahluah is a sweet and affectionate pup who craves a family to call his own. He's well-socialized and eager to please, ready to bring happiness and loyalty to his forever home. Kahluah's journey has shaped him into a resilient and loving companion just waiting to meet his perfect match.

Our adoption requirements are as follows:

We encourage that all members of the family come and visit with the animal (especially children). We do not adopt pets as gifts.

Homes that currently own one or more dogs and are looking for another will have to complete a dog meeting to ascertain compatibility.

More about this shelter

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
