Meet Pringle, a sweet and soulful 4-year-old terrier/hound mix with a heart full of love (and a bit of a slower pace). Though she`s heartworm positive, Pringle is up to date on all her shots and takes life one day at a time. This mellow lady is content to enjoy a laid-back lifestyle, and while she’s not particularly interested in other dogs, she does appreciate the occasional bit of attention from her human friends. Pringle is the perfect companion for someone seeking a quiet, easygoing roommate who enjoys a calm, simple way of life. If you have older dogs at home, please bring them in to meet Pringle—she’d love to see if they vibe together! She’s a loyal buddy who will happily keep you company. If you are looking for a dog who enjoys the quieter side of life, Pringle might just be the perfect fit.

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
