Hello there, I`m Meatball, a Mississippi Map turtle with a heart as big as my curiosity. I may be shy at first, but give me some time and you`ll see my sweet, mellow personality shine. I enjoy exploring my surroundings independently, always on a quest to learn more about the world around me. Life in the shelter is comfortable, but I dream of a home where I can continue my adventures in a loving environment. Adopting me means opening your home to a companion who will bring a unique and calm presence to your life. *Meatball is determined to become a law abiding citizen, so she must be adopted outside of Windsor, no exceptions!*

More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
