Meet Waylon! A Scruffy Little Survivor Looking for His Perfect Home!

Waylon is a 4-6-year-old Wire-Haired Terrier mix, weighing in at just 14 pounds. This scruffy little guy came to us from a pound in Cleveland, and while we don’t know his past, we do know he’s ready for a brighter future!

Waylon has a big personality in a small package. He gets along well with other dogs his size but can be a bit nippy and has some resource-guarding tendencies with food. Because of this, he needs an experienced owner who can work with him on building trust and setting boundaries. He is not suited for a home with children but would thrive in an adult-only environment where he can feel safe and understood.

Waylon may have a few quirks, but with patience, training, and love, he has the potential to be an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, spunky little dog and are willing to put in the work to help him be his best self, Waylon might just be the perfect match for you!

Adoption fee: $350

All Paws and Prayers animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/heartworm prevention. Adoption fees also include the pet's spay/neuter and microchipping. More about this rescue

Our primary mission is to rescue, care for, and find loving homes for homeless cats and dogs. Our secondary goal is to make sure all of these animals are spayed or neutered. It is a big task, but we are ready! Paws and Prayers is based in the Northeast Ohio region. We operate as a non-profit, incorporated organization that functions solely on the efforts of foster homes and adoption volunteers.
