Meet Cindy! Cindy is a special little lady. She’s 6 years old, weighs around 11.5 pounds, and came to us after being used as a puppy mill momma. When her former owners no longer needed her, she was discarded and arrived with heartworms. Cindy has successfully completed her heartworm treatment and is now ready for her forever home. She is incredibly sweet but still shy. Cindy is learning to trust people and can be skittish, even with her foster mom still. While she goes potty outside, she does occasionally have accidents indoors but reliably uses a potty pad when needed. She’s also working on leash training, which will help her feel more confident about going potty outside. Cindy would thrive in a home with another dog around her size to help her feel confident and secure. She does well with cats and would do best in a child-free home or one with older, considerate children. Cindy needs a patient and understanding home that will give her the time and space to adjust at her own pace and Cindy will flourish in a home where she feels safe and cared for.
