My story

Meet Tucker. He is a very sweet boy, however, he has not been in our care for long so we don`t know too much information about him. He`s a little bit scared in this strange environment, but good for him, he`s rooming with his sister, Little Miss, and that is helping him feel more at home. He has been able to warm up and make some friends while in playgroups with some other pups, where he has been playful, social, and submissive. Show tucker some love and ask to visit while you`re here.

If you have any questions concerning adoptable animals or our adoption policies, please contact us at (865) 215-6650 or email adoptions@young-williams.org.
Once you identify some animals you are interested in online, please come down to the appropriate location as soon as possible! We are open from 10am to 6pm, 7 days a week. We close from 1-2pm for quiet time daily. We work on a first come, first serve basis, meaning the first person physically present will be considered first.

Young-Williams Animal Center is the municipal animal shelter for Knox County and the City of Knoxville and is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization serving . We are dedicated to the sheltering and placement of animals and general animal welfare. We are an open-intake facility and care for more than 11,000 annually. Our goal at Young-Williams Animal Center is to find “forever” homes for all our adoptable animals!
