My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces, Vintage Paws Animal Rescue**

Harry and Pancho are a bonded senior duo who are looking for a foster to open their hearts and home to them while they get some medical sorted on the way to becoming officially adoptable. Harry (white) is approximately eight-years-old and weighs around nine-pounds. Pancho (brown) is approximately 10-years-old and weighs around eight-pounds. They both came in together back in October 2024, from a sad situation. Harry and Pancho were reportedly living in a hoarding situation and were being kept in just a room- they had not been outside for over FIVE years. :-( Both are safe at rescue now, but in a kennel environment. We would LOVE for them to have the opportunity to experience a loving home environment while they get fixed up for adoption.

Harry and Pancho are definitely bonded, but quite different. Harry is distrusting of people and will not approach you on his own. His go-to is to avoid, but if you catch him, he will allow gentle handling and pets. He will wag his tail at you and enjoys sniffing around in the sunshine. Pancho on the other hand, is a lap-dog! He loves to be pet and held and will crawl in your lap first chance he gets. Both dogs are attached to each other; they look for each other, sleep snuggled up, and even play a bit together!

How can YOU help this adorable duo, you're asking? Well, we need a foster home! Harry needs surgery for a grade-three luxating patella, and Pancho needs a dental (Harry has already had his). We would love for them to be able to recuperate in a home environment vs the shelter/kennel. Fosters will be responsible for medication administration, taking the dogs to their vet appointments, and providing a safe and loving space for them. Frosted Faces will be paying 100% of vet bills and will assist throughout the process of fostering.

Do Harry and Pancho sound like a duo you can open your heart and home to? Please email us at chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet appointment.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.

Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.

We are always seeking to help promote these special Chihuahuas who are too often overlooked in AZ shelters due to the sheer volume of this breed. Please share and like us on Facebook:
