Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gemma! Gemma is a 4 1/2 year old island mutt mix from Antigua! Gemma weighs 51 pounds currently, but her vet reports that she could afford to lose a few pounds, so we’re working on that! If you’re reading her weight and thinking “she doesn’t look that big” - you’re not alone! Gemma has a small dog face with a big dog body, making her the perfect-sized dog, but also keeping our rescue guessing as to her breed!
Gemma is everything you could ever want in a pup - she loves walks and being outdoors, but will happily cuddle up on the couch with you for the rest of the afternoon! Her curiosity might be her cutest trait and watching her figure out how to play with stuffed toys will forever be one of her foster’s favorite memories. Because Gemma lived most of her life outside, she’s still curious about certain aspects of indoor life, like the tv and the fireplace, but she’s adjusting well! She absolutely adores her human friends and happily coexists with her dog foster sisters.
Gemma is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash! If you’re looking for a curious friend to experience life with - Gemma may be your girl!
