My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Momo was found as a stray in Salinas. She was microchipped, but her people never claimed her. This little girlie is a very playful, persistently affectionate, potty trained pug/chi mix.

Momo is currently being fostered with another dog her size, and they love to run around and chase each other. She also loves to run around the yard by herself and is good at keeping occupied with toys.

Momo has good leash manners. She’s curious about people, but can be wary and might need a little time to get used to someone. Momo weighs 12 pounds and we think she’s pretty young (1-2) based on her energy level and perfect teeth. Speaking of teeth, check out that adorable underbite!

Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for MOMO is $300.

If you are interested in adopting MOMO, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

Additional adoption info

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy foster to forever transition. The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home check, and an adoption donation. The adoption donation helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.

More about this rescue

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control, and other local shelters, through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs in a loving home until a forever loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes!  You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes. All of our dogs are in foster care.
