Pretzel is a sweet male puppy, one of 8 siblings from the "SNACK LITTER. Both of Pretzel's parents are Basset Hounds. His mom, Ruby came to our rescue on December 8, 2024, after her previous family faced health challenges with their young son. This loving dog was pregnant at the time and proudly delivered 8 adorable puppies(5 males and 3 females) on December 14, 2024.
These pups are not suited for a tether system, as they thrive on companionship and interaction. A loving family that can provide plenty of attention and playtime will make Pretzel the happiest puppy! It sounds like you’re discussing a breed that will not be a good fit for apartment or mobile home living, a hound breed is known for their howling. It’s important to consider factors like energy levels, socialization needs, and behavior when selecting a pet for a particular living situation.
Be prepared for some initial challenges with crate training that might lead to sleepless nights. It’s helpful to establish a consistent bedtime routine and ensure they have ample opportunities to exercise and relieve themselves before bedtime.
Since puppies require a lot of attention, training, and socialization, it is important that someone in the family is home more often than not. We are looking for a patient and active family who are willing to invest the time and effort required to train this puppy.
We are currently accepting applications for this litter of puppies and accepting a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold them until they are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age (2/7), this deposit goes towards the final adoption fee. Puppies will go home in foster-to-adopt status with their new families until their spay/neuter surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clinton Twp, Sterling Heights, Clawson, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable.

OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR PRIMARY ADOPTION AREA IS WITHIN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
