Gretel is a beautiful, spunky and affectionate young lady with a big personality! She is very smart and food-motivated and therefore picks up on training quickly.
With proper introductions, Gretel plays well with other medium and small dogs and adjusts her energy level as needed, being gentle with more reserved pups and rougher with rowdier ones. She gains confidence and takes cues from other dogs and would thrive in a home with another dog. She is a medium energy and when she’s not playing with other pups or enjoying a good game of fetch, she’s calm and content to near you.
Gretel can be nervous when meeting new people and can take some time to feel safe around them. She will need adopters willing to advocate for her when doing intros with new people who will want to pet her. Once you are in her pack she is a devoted and loving best friend.
Gretel has not had much exposure to cats, but we suspect she could do well with dog-savvy cats. She is fully house trained, crate trained and would love a fenced yard or nearby enclosed park.
Gretel will make a fantastic walking companion and is eager to meet her forever family!
Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold.
