Meet the Pet
This helps RescuedOhio with pet care costs.
Willow is a stunning baby moose of a black Lab mix with all the heart & personality to go with her healthy 60 pounds (and counting!). At 7-8 months old, she is potty trained and sleeps through the night, and her desire to learn & please humans is as strong as her legs are long. Her fosters adore her, and believe she is roughly 80% Lab and 20% other large breed... perhaps Newfie. Willow loves to play fetch, chase her foster sis (a trained, mature GSD), hang with other doggos, and cuddles like a pro. She is also pretty independent when it comes to entertaining herself—she can spend hours gnawing at Nylabones or nuzzling plushies.
As a curious pup, she can of course get into things she probably shouldn't, but is easily corrected and redirected. She has medium energy, is kid-friendly, does well on a leash or in a car, and also gets her regular R&R. Loving to a fault, Willow is still working on coping with periodic separation from her humans and politely greeting 4-legged visitors... up until recently, the only social life she knew was on a chain outside with her momma and siblings.
Her fosters think she'd do well with an active, loving family as a solo companion or with another dog or two in the home; ideally with a fenced in yard and owners who are familiar with the Labrador breed. Apply today or reach out to your coordinator to request a meet & greet with this amazing, intelligent, growing girl.
