Meet Sampson!

This gentle 10 ½-year-old Shepherd mix is looking for a new place to call home after his owner was sent to the hospital and couldn't care for him any longer. Though his family tried their best to keep him, they realized he deserves a loving home where he can thrive.

Sampson is neutered, up to date with all his vaccines, and is currently working on getting some dental work done to make sure his smile is picture-perfect for his new family!

With his wise eyes and loving heart, Sampson is ready to share his golden years with someone special. He’s a loyal companion who enjoys leisurely walks, belly rubs, and cozy naps in the sun. If you're looking for a sweet-natured friend to brighten your days, Sampson is your guy!

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
