My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lars is a handsome, redhead that’s the son of Lucy and he’s the reason we think these pups have some lab in them. He has show-stopping green eyes and a gorgeous red coat. Lars is active, curious, and playful like a lab. He loves kids and wants to be with his humans at all times. We think he’s around 10 weeks old. Due to mama being clearly a terrier of some sorts and weighing only 14 lbs, we suspect Lars will be around 30 lbs. However, those having strict weight requirements should be careful not to fall for his stunning face as only time will tell how this boy will grow.

Lars is in foster in Mead, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *

Mile High Canine Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3, Colorado non-profit organization established in 2019. We are 100% volunteer run and foster home based. MHCR aims to provide abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs a loving home to grow and learn in until a suitable forever home is found. While in foster care, our dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested/treated, microchipped, and vaccinated. We rescue dogs from Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.
