My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MARMALADE was dropped off, with her sister (littermare) SIENNA, when the family had a change in living arrangements. They don't seem attached to each other so we feel adopting them out separately will help Marmalade come out of her shell. Marmalade is very sweet. She loves her little hiding tent but will come out for treats and lovings! She sports a three-quarter length tail – we're not sure if it was an injury or a birth defect - But it doesn't bother her in anyway. She is a little overwhelmed with Dogs and tolerates the company of other cats. Quiet children would be fine but she prefers not to live in a noisy household. Marmalade is about six years old and has been spayed, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/leukemia. She has always been an indoor kitty. She is super sweet and we would love to get her tender soul into a loving home and out of the busy shelter. The first step in Adoption is to fill out our application at www.companimals.org. Adoption $100.

Go meet their pets

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

More about this rescue

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.
