Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
They call me Buffalo Wings. I`m not sure why, but I like it. I think it`s because when I first came to the shelter, I had a fiery spirit, and a bit of a temper, if I`m honest. That was just my way of telling people to give me space, especially with me being in such a strange environment with people I don`t know.
I`m actually not mean at all. I might show you my beautiful teeth (like a silent hiss where I keep my mouth open for oddly long periods of time, which the humans find intriguing), but I have never ever tried to harm anyone. It`s just my way of telling you I`m a bit uncomfortable, but I don`t want to hurt you and I have no intentions of doing that.
You see, I was so used to being in a home with someone I knew best, and then, all of a sudden, my person disappeared and I had nobody anymore. I ended up here, and felt so out of sorts. I would hide in my kennel, close my eyes, and hope this bad dream would stop. But it didn`t. I kept waking up in this strange place without my person, and it really hurts my heart a lot.
I`m actually a really nice guy, and I love head scratches. I`ll brush into your hand and even purr and fall asleep. I`ll likely spend a lot of my time hiding in your home until I feel more comfortable, so I hope you understand this and will be very patient until I feel like I can trust.
I think a really quiet home with no kiddos or dogs would be best for me, because I`m a nervous nelly. I need my environment to feel predictable and safe so I can warm up and thrive.
I`m truly a great guy, and I`m really eager to find my new person to help me feel safe and loved, because lately, I`m feeling like a lost soul...
